At the AGM, the following changes were made to the Club's officers:-

Chairman - Martin Colquhoun was elected to replace Steve Sizeland who has stood down.

Treasurer - David Blench was elected to replace Ron York who has retired.

Secretary - David Bell was re-elected.

Subs remain unchanged at £60.

Annual Subscriptions are due on 1st April 2017 and the amount remains unchanged at £60. Please send either a cheque to the Treasurer or an Online Transfer direct to our Account, the addresses for which will be sent direct to you shortly.

The deadline for receipt of your payment is 30th April 2017 and the membership of anyone not renewing by then will lapse. Anyone wishing to renew their membership after that will have to submit a new Application Form, accompanied by a cheque for £90 (£30 joining fee and £60 subscription for the remainder of the year).

I receive the sad news that Bill Carter has had to resign from the Club and give up shooting due to his and his wife's ill health. His wife has been ill and looked after by Bill for some time.

Bill has asked me to pass on to all the members his best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

We received the sad news at the Committee Meeting this evening that Steve Sizeland has resigned as Chairman of the Club.

Martin Colquhoun was proposed, seconded and voted unanimously as the Club's new Chairman and I'm sure that all our members wish him well, and will support him in this very important position.

Bad news about the all-day shoot on 24th July, I'm aftraid. The army has cancelled it because the military has booked it and they have priority. We are trying for a booking at Otterburn to replace it and will inform members if we are successful

The Club's AGM will be held at St. Aidan's Community Centre, Princes Road, Brunton Park, Gosforth  at 7.00pm on 24th April.

Please note that the shoot on Sunday 24th January is in the afternoon, starting at 1.00pm and finishing about 4.00pm. This is because we were unable to get a morning shoot on any Sunday in January

Important announcement about the shoot on Sunday 20th September.

Due to MoD difficulties in staffing the ranges at Ponteland on 20th September, we will be unable to start shooting until after 10.00am. However, we can continue until 12.30 which is 30 minutes later that usual.

As the alternative is to cancel the shoot, it is felt that this is a better option

We have just received the sad news that Bob Martin passed away this afternoon, at home after a protracted illnesss.

Many members will remember Bob as the Club's first Chairman when it was founded in 1999, since when he has served the Club in this capacity until the onset of his bad health a few months ago.

Our condolences were passed on to his wife, and those of us who knew Bob well will not be surprised to hear that he has donated his body to Newcastle University for Medical Science. Consequently his family have decided that there will be no funeral service
